Have a splash-tacular time

Fancy going on a Thunderbolt, the longest water coaster in Asia? Head for Desa Waterpark and have a splashing good time! The water park has been attracting visitors daily since its opening in 1998.

Go through the entrance, designed like a colourful cartoon castle and enter the park, which stretches over 12.6 acres (5.1ha) and is bordered by 50 acres (20.2ha) of lake. Desa Waterpark is a children-friendly water park that provides age-appropriate modes of safe “splashtacular” adventures that will ‘wet’ your appetite for fun in the sun.

This is an activity that bonds family members as they enjoy activities together. It is one such outdoor water playground where water rides and slides vary to suit everyone, from babies to toddles, children, adolescents and adults.

More than 10 different kinds of water attractions cater to all members of the family. There are also attractions that will satisfy adrenaline junkies. Desa WaterPark has a diverse array of experiences ranging from serene to the more extreme, creating a day of non-stop amusement.

Children can warm up at the Bubble Pool, Ripplr Bay, Surf Shack, Pink Slide, Clown Around and the Water Factory where water blasters and super soakers come in the form of crocodiles, butterflies, umbrella rains, whales, sharks, frogs and turtles.

They can wet their toes in the Baby Wave, which resembles gentle wave ripples. Children will enjoy gliding down the Action River on a dual inflatable tube and later move on to the more daring Shock Wave, which churns out much bigger waves. For older boys and girls (and Adults), they can opt for the more thrilling slides and rides – from the daring drops of the Super Tube to the twisting turns and winding bends of the Thunderbolt where they can take the plunge and splash into the pool below. Or they can put their balance to the test by crossing over floating rocks that can easily tumble one over at the Tarzan in Town. Lifeguards and safety crew watch over guests like a hawk.

Other facilities include a souvenir shop, restrooms, fast food outlets, cafeteria, restaurant and stall. Locker facilities, tube rental, changing room, surau are also available.

Admission fees to Desa WaterPark are RM24 for Adult and RM17 for children, whereas children below 2.5ft enter for free. Desa WaterPark operates from Monday to Friday (10:30am till 6pm) and weekends/public holidays/school holidays (10am-6pm). However, it is closed on WEDNESDAY except on Public/ School Holiday.
