The Government
- Parliamentary democracy. The head of the Government is the Prime Minister and the states are governed by the respective State government.

State CompositionMalaysia consists of thirteen states and three Federal Territories. Eleven of the states form the Peninsular Malaysia while the two states (Sabah and Sarawak) form the east Malaysia and are in the island of Borneo.

The three Federal Territories are the capital city – Kuala Lumpur, the new administrative centre in Putrajaya and the island of Labuan situated closely to Sabah.

- Land area 336,700 sq.km
- Highest mountain in Malaysia is Gunung Kinabalu (4,100 meters) in Sabah, which is also the highest mountain in South East Asia
- The Rajang River in Sarawak is the longest river (563km)
- The biggest state is Sarawak (124,450 sq.km)
- The most developed state is Selangor

Climate
- Average Temperature is between 21C to 32C
- Humidity is high and the climate is strongly influenced by the Northeast and the Southwest Monsoons
