If you could not get a room in Genting Highlands, it should not stop you from visiting Genting Highlands. It is also a prefect venue for a day trip. Going up in the morning and return to Kuala Lumpur city in the evening. A 6-8 hours duration up in Genting Highlands is perfect.

Genting highlands resorts is nested about 6,000 ft above sea level at the border of Selangor and Pahang state. It can be reached by car, driving all the way up to the resorts city, or stop at mid hill at Gotong Jaya (Gotong Jaya is named after the founder of Genting Group – Tan Sri Lim Goh Tong) and switch to Genting Skyway cable car. Taking the Genting Skyway is also an experience as it is the world fastest cable car, travelling at about 20km per hour and the distance up the hill is also the longest in South East Asia.
